05/18/22 Fractured thumb for comp

So like generally speaking... im pretty darn modest right??? Like you saw my 8 outfits i brought right?? I have been dress coded now 3 times!!! Including the pair of pants that you and i have twinsies of (which there is a picture of the exact same on the missionary website oyyy) so the problem is i only have like 8 warm weather outfits and i cant wear 3 of them... idk what to do except im leaning towards wearing that black and white dress every day from when i got set apart. 

So besides that its been a pretty good couple of days. My comp fractured her thumb when we were playing volleyball and needed x rays (hence the tour around mexico city), and i got to sing the the coro (choir) yesterday, all in español!! Its ridiculously busy here and they give us like 1000 assignments to do outside of class... but class takes up like 8-10 hours every day and we have 1-1.5 hours of exercise, 2 hours ish to get food in the cafeteria and a lot of walking which takes a lot of time... also theyre making us move to apartments instead of casas this weekend, and we have a bunch of stuff to do for our visas, frequent dr visits because of her hand, frequent bathroom visits because of my stomach (ive had nothing but cereal and junk food for 2 days and my stomach is finally settling🙄 never thought i would say i intensely miss veggies and preparing my own food every day!!) 

You have no idea how much im looking forward to p day tomorrow-although its still gonna be a very long day--we are going to the temple for the whole morning, and have a bunch to do in the afternoon. But i have a decent amount of time to talk to you guys (yay!!) So be sure to be free in the afternoon ;) its so much harder here than i expected but there are so many things im learning and blessings i feel i am gaining. I pray for you all multiple times a day!! Holaaaa!  I'm gonna do this a little differently... here's this week's highlights!  -Tuesday we went to Antofa for a conference and to say  goodbye  to  presidente   y   hermana   Larsen !! I got to see the Hermanas who picked me up at the airports and met a bunch of people who maybe I'll talk to again later and maybe not!! We had pizza which is a super important detail, and on the bus we watched Cars and another movie I can't remember what it's called. Overall a good time.  -Wednesday we got completos :)  -Thursday we had a zone FHE and we were in charge! We also had a super long phone call with our friend Billy and got him set up to be baptized on the 16th... and we think this time is different and is not gonna fall through    -Friday we had a gospel principles class... but no one showed up, including the teacher... so then when one person did show up, us and the Elders taught her the 4th lesson in preparation for her baptism...

04/30/22 First week of Home MTC!

Katelyn Griffin Sat, Apr 30, 11:03 PM (6 days ago) Hola a todos!!!  It has been a crazy week! I've met a ton of new people, felt the spirit a TON, and I now know, like, twice as much Spanish as I did a week ago (so still not that much ;) Here are some of the highlights:  Monday I got to meet my compañera, and she is  amazing!  She's from Manti, Utah, and I don't know how else to explain this, but I feel like I vibe with her. She's bubbly and sweet, and she seems to really love the gospel and wants to work hard. I can't wait to get to know her more!!  A couple days in, I got to know my district a bit more, and I am so impressed by these people! I was anxious about going "late," since most missionaries, it seems like, go out as soon as they turn 18 or 19, but most of my group is older than the minimum age, which is a comfort to me :)  One of the days, I wrote this in my journal: "One thing I've noticed about being a missionary so far is how much mor...

  Hello hi how's it goin its so laaaaate, so imma make this maybe a little more short and sweet!!  We had zone conference early in the weekend which was pretty good... except that it went long so we didn't get to do interviews and we had to RUN to the bus... good times   (side note I'm currently writing this from a bus on the way to copiapo AGAIN because we have exchanges tomorrow with the hermanas here.) Also, got told to do a musical number again... on the bus ride on the way to copiapo... so had to figure that one out in like less than 12 hours haheha. A little organization would be cool but like it's fine. We sang I need thee every hour (me and my compi) and it turned out pretty good (there was a weird thing with the piano but no importa!!)  A little later in the week we had our ups and downs, like one day we found this little family who are so golden!!
