05/13/22 Letter to the Branch President

My past tense in Spanish is terrible/non-existent so I will do this in English!!
The most spiritual experience I have had this week was when I was put in a small group to discuss and teach. I was placed with an Elder and we got talking about the repentance process from some scriptures. It was very uplifting and we were able to both deepen our testimonies and understanding of repentance through this experience.
My comp and I get along well enough, but in one way or another, we have both been sick the entire time we have been here. It's frustrating to be the sick comp, and it's frustrating to have a sick comp, so it's been a bit frustrating all week. We are both feeling better as of this morning, however, and I can see things getting so much better for us both.
This week I have learned soooo many new Spanish words and phrases, and it kind of makes my brain hurt, however, I know the more I practice, the more I will be blessed with the gift of tongues.
The accomplishment of the week: I'm most proud of being able to have a full conversation with a Latina sister, and she and I have become very good friends. I still don't speak very well, but between her little bit of English and my little bit of Spanish
, we're figuring it out!
, we're figuring it out!
I hope this week will maybe be just a little less exhausting and I will be a little more patient with others, and I hope I will be a little less emotional as well!
Adios,
Hermana Griffin
