05/08/23 Cambios - I moved again

So... didn't expect this one but I got transferred. To Antofagasta ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

And for that reason I'm going to be traveling for like most of p day ๐Ÿ˜ญ
I'm gonna be comps with an hermana from Chile!! My first chilean! And this will be her last transfer, so we'll see what that's like.

This week has been relatively uneventful... we had some lessons, and put one of our friends on date in the first lesson (she's basically already a member, in that she goes to church every week, has friends in the church, and went a lot growing up, but couldn't get baptized because her parents said no... now she's 21 so she can get baptized!), and we felt the spirit a ton.

One of our friends is a guy who's honestly not super invested in the church because he says he doesn't have problems in his life and everything is good and he thinks that religion exists for people who are struggling. But we've been visiting him every day to read the book of mormon together, and I feel like I've seen a change in him, even though he wouldn't admit it. The plan was to continue to visit him every day and read the book of mormon with him every day, but I'm getting transferred sooo... guess that's gonna be another set of hermanas.

We also found a really cool new friend who just days earlier had said a prayer to "open her heart to jesus" and was completely willing to listen and share with us. Afterwards we sent her a text to let her know it was our number and she answered almost right away to thank us for sharing with her. It was really cute.

And yah, they're taking our phone away today (Sunday) so I'm going to be putting this on auto-send and I'll be sharing one phone among 4 hermanas tomorrow so if I don't talk to anyone, sorryyy๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…  (I'm actually really bummed about this whole problem, but there's not a lot we can do about it I guess).

I learned some cool things about prayer this week, but I don't have time to write about all of them. Something I loved was the bible dictionary passage about prayer. It talks about how the Lord always wants to bless us but some blessings are conditional on whether or not we ask for them. Blessings are obtained through acts of faith, or blessings require a certain amount of work, and prayer is a form of work and an act of faith that brings forth these blessings.

The Lord requires that we speak to Him, and promises a TON of blessings in return.

Love you all, I'm writing this while fasting and running on like 4 hours of sleep because I had to pack, so if it's negative, I'm sorry ๐Ÿ˜…

At the end of the day: Hi mom!! Tell everyone im fine, I didnt have a phone from yesterday until today at like 8, and at that point it was already work time again. Antofa is super pretty and my comp is really hard working, I already know we're going to have a lot of success and a lot of fun this transfer :)

Yes they whitewashed my sector, which was super surprising, I'm about a 10 min drive from the office and theres a LOT of missionaries here, there's 4 zones in the city, each one has about 12-18 missionaries, but we're only allowed to be in our zone.

Love you!! Let everyone know I'm sorry I couldn't talk today, it's pretty lame that i couldn't but there wasn't really a way for me to communicate, since I didn't have a phone this morning and I didn't get here till 8ish ๐Ÿฅฒ
