07/17/23 A quick little weekly

 Hiiii!

This week was really good!

We had zone conference, exchanges, and lots of work to do, which I LOVE when we're busy so I wasn't mad.

I also got my hair cut. But not very much. Just the dead ends. The next time I cut my hair I'll be in college😮

Zone conference: I loved the focus in working as a team altogether as a mission. When one sector has a miracle or has success, they all do! When one person chooses to be baptized, the whole area is rejoicing. It's exactly as it says many times in the scriptures: hay que ser uno.

Something I enjoyed learning about this week: El arrepentimiento!!
So the other night I was praying and had a little personal revelation that we should teach people to pray differently than how we had taught it before. Normally we teach:
Start with Heavenly Father, give thanks, ask blessings, and end in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
But I felt the need to change that so that we're teaching our friends, from the very beginning el arrepentimiento diario (daily repentance) so it's more like:
Heavenly Father, give thanks, ask blessings, and ask for forgiveness, and then end in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

And I've loved teaching our friends this and also practicing it myself every night.

I love repentance because it's our way of freeing ourselves from the weight of sin. I think I used to feel like repentance was a punishment because we did something bad, but the more I understand it and study it, the more I understand that it's literally the greatest blessing God has given us. We can be free from who we were and we can become who He wants us to be. We can escape the guilt and sorrow that gets placed in our souls when we make mistakes and sin, and we can feel light and free and happy through repentance.

To anyone who is not already doing it, I personally invite you, as a representative of Jesus Christ, to start repenting daily. Start praying to God and allowing His son to remove the weight from your shoulders and your heart and your soul. Be free!

I've grown such a love for this work and a love for my Savior and my Father in Heaven. I can't describe it, but i can feel it in my heart when I talk to Him and when I read and when I teach. I feel it right now.

I love you all so much.
