09/19/22 Last weeks letter that I didn't even finish haha

I gotta be honest I don't really feel much like writing, so here's the highlights: Yesterday was Chilean Independence Day, which meant literally 18 people showed up to church, and half of them left after the first hour. In the evening, we made empanadas and brownies and had a little party with the four of us hermanas. It was fun and we stayed up too late, but it's okay because today's p dayyy Saturday we had a ward party and my team won tug-o-war and my comp won the sack race. The food was good, the company was better, and the dancing was the best-we didn't dance, because we're not allowed, but it was the Chile dance and it was very cool.



We have a really cool family who's progressing a ton.... but they're not married so we're working on that. Our ward mission leader is being a little overbearing with his trying to help us... like I can't count how many times I've heard "when I was on my mission we... and had more success so maybe you should try that" and I'm on the verge of speaking my mind which is dangerous hahaha. We went to this house of this recent convert from like 3-4 transfers ago... and they have like 30 dogs, which are the skinniest dogs I've ever seen. And they were all very unhappy. And then we went inside and there were 3 more dogs and her son (17 y/o)was sitting on the bed eating toilet paper like it was gum. I was a little uncomfy. No one wanted to talk to us with the holiday so we did a lot of trying and not a lot of succeeding!! We also had a really cool lesson with some elders earlier this week. Some little girls want to be missionaries some day but have never seen girl missionaries before so they wanted to meet us, which by the way is the cutest thing I've ever heard!! And they were darling!!! And then we got to go visit the girls that we baptized last transfer because they live in a different sector now. And their mom is gonna get baptized!! I hope I'm around by the time she gets everything with her marriage figured out so I can go to her baptism!!! We also had arepas which were soooooo good, and their neighbor is a member as well, and they gave us homemade donuts, which were literally the best donuts I've ever had. Or maybe I'm just in Chile and donuts aren't usually very good here so they were just normal donuts. Not sure!! Also we went to antofa this week, the traveling was fun and I'm to the point where I can understand the movies in the bus, which is really nice!! We watched how to train your dragon 3? I think it was 3?? And Cruella. The conference was good and I got to see hna Tommy, and hna Smith among others. We've been exhausted because traveling is like that sometimes, but after today I think we'll feel better!!

Holaaaa!  I'm gonna do this a little differently... here's this week's highlights!  -Tuesday we went to Antofa for a conference and to say  goodbye  to  presidente   y   hermana   Larsen !! I got to see the Hermanas who picked me up at the airports and met a bunch of people who maybe I'll talk to again later and maybe not!! We had pizza which is a super important detail, and on the bus we watched Cars and another movie I can't remember what it's called. Overall a good time.  -Wednesday we got completos :)  -Thursday we had a zone FHE and we were in charge! We also had a super long phone call with our friend Billy and got him set up to be baptized on the 16th... and we think this time is different and is not gonna fall through    -Friday we had a gospel principles class... but no one showed up, including the teacher... so then when one person did show up, us and the Elders taught her the 4th lesson in preparation for her baptism...

04/30/22 First week of Home MTC!

I've met a ton of new people, felt the spirit a TON, and I now know, like, twice as much Spanish as I did a week ago (so still not that much ;) Here are some of the highlights:  Monday I got to meet my compañera, and she is  amazing!  She's from Manti, Utah, and I don't know how else to explain this, but I feel like I vibe with her. She's bubbly and sweet, and she seems to really love the gospel and wants to work hard. I can't wait to get to know her more!!  A couple days in, I got to know my district a bit more, and I am so impressed by these people! I was anxious about going "late," since most missionaries, it seems like, go out as soon as they turn 18 or 19, but most of my group is older than the minimum age, which is a comfort to me :)  One of the days, I wrote this in my journal: "One thing I've noticed about being a missionary so far is how much mor...

  Hello hi how's it goin its so laaaaate, so imma make this maybe a little more short and sweet!!  We had zone conference early in the weekend which was pretty good... except that it went long so we didn't get to do interviews and we had to RUN to the bus... good times   (side note I'm currently writing this from a bus on the way to copiapo AGAIN because we have exchanges tomorrow with the hermanas here.) Also, got told to do a musical number again... on the bus ride on the way to copiapo... so had to figure that one out in like less than 12 hours haheha. A little organization would be cool but like it's fine. We sang I need thee every hour (me and my compi) and it turned out pretty good (there was a weird thing with the piano but no importa!!)  A little later in the week we had our ups and downs, like one day we found this little family who are so golden!!
